ABOUT CAROL

I have heve held many positions over the years: compositor, desktop publisher, editor, proofreader, darkroom operator, team manager, photo researcher, and lead graphic designer. I have been all these things and more over the course of over 25 years in the publishing world.

For the last 16 plus years, I have been a busy independent designer, logging over 200 design projects during that time, using QuarkXPress, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop on both PC and Mac platforms. Projects have included hundreds of textbook designs for leading educational publishers, designing a book cover for a published author, and instructing a class of 5th grade elementary students in designing and publishing an anthology of their original art and writings.

I live in Fitchburg, Wisconsin with my lively border collie and two mischievous tabby cats. When I am not designing projects on my home office computer, you might find me out walking with my dog Coco, working in my backyard garden, or whipping up a new recipe.

My hobbies include landscaping, cooking, and budget decorating. Below you can see the garden shed I created from my girls' old play structure. Click on the photo to see more about the creation
